True North has risen to 52nd place in the league table of top British production companies, according to the latest survey carried out by leading industry publication, Televisual.
The “Production 100” list reveals that True North is now Britain’s eighth-biggest indie outside of London - and the fourth-biggest English production company outside the capital.
With over 90 hours of programming and 137 hours of repeats broadcast last year, True North’s position as one of the busiest factual production companies in the country was confirmed. The company’s successes in the past twelve months range from Michaela’s Animal Road Trip and Calendar Girls - 10 Years On to Addicted To Surrogacy and Killer Couples.
During the same period, True North made programmes for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky, National Geographic and The History Channel.
